The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
