The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
