The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
