The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
