The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in outstretched columns. 9
