Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
