Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 closed around them 8 in outstretched columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
