Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in towering columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
