Believers, do not devour usury multiplied many times over. Fear God, so that you may prosper, 130 And guard yourselves against the fire which has been prepared for the unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the apostle, haply ye may be shewn mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 Those who expend in weal and woe, and the repressors of rage and the pardoners of men; and Allah loveth the doers of good. 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 Their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever. How blessed is the reward of those who labor. 136 Systems have passed away before you. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for those who did deny (the messengers). 137 this [should be] a clear lesson unto all men, and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-conscious. 138 So do not lose heart or be grieved, for you will surely prevail if you are believers. 139 If you get hurt, certainly others have also experienced injuries. We have made people pass through the different turns of history so that God would know the true believers, have some of you bear witness to the people's deeds, {God does not love the unjust} 140 And that Allah may purge those who believe and destroy the infidels. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 You previously longed for death (in the way of Allah): now you have faced it, observing it with your own eyes. 143
