O Ye who believe! devour not usury, multiplied manifold; and fear Allah, haply ye may fare well. 130 Keep away from the Fire prepared for the infidels; 131 Obey God and the Prophet, that you may be treated with mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with each other in hastening to obtain forgiveness from your Lord and toward the Garden whereof the width equalleth the heavens and the earth, gotten ready for the God-fearing 133 Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good; 134 These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who will forgive sins save Allah? - and who do not wilfully persist in the wrong they did. 135 These it is who shall have as their reward forgiveness from their Sustainer, and gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide: and how excellent a reward for those who labour! 136 Dispensations have gone forth before you; go about then on the earth, and behold what wise hath been the end of the beliers! 137 This is an exposition unto mankind and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-fearing. 138 Be not, then, faint of heart, and grieve not: for you are bound to rise high if you are [truly] believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a similar wound already has touched the nation. Such days We alternate between the people so that Allah knows those who believe, and that He will take witnesses from among you, for Allah does not love the harmdoers, 140 And that Allah may purge those who believe and destroy the infidels. 141 Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast? 142 You were longing for death, before you met it. Now you have seen it with your own eyes. 143
