Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Did you see him who gives the lie to the Reward and Punishment of the Hereafter? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 And urgeth not the feeding of the poor, 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And do not let others ask for small utilities. 7
