Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Thorns (Al-Masad). Sent down in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
