Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 A rope made from palm fibre around her neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
