Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
