Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
