Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
