Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
