Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
