Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
