Al-An 'aam 13 of 20
He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything. 101 This is God, your Lord, there is no God but Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him; He is the guardian of all things. 102 Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted. 103 Means of insight have now come unto you from your Sustainer [through this divine writ]. Whoever, therefore, chooses to see, does so for his own good; and whoever chooses to remain blind, does so to his own hurt. And [say unto the blind of heart]: "I am not your keeper." 104 So We turn about the signs, that they may say, 'Thou hast studied'; and that We may make it clear to a people having knowledge. 105 Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; there is no god but He; and withdraw from the polytheists. 106 And if Allah had pleased, they would not have set up others (with Him) and We have not appointed you a keeper over them, and you are not placed in charge of them. 107 And do not abuse those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest exceeding the limits they should abuse Allah out of ignorance. Thus have We made fair seeming to every people their deeds; then to their Lord shall be their return, so He will inform them of what they did. 108 And they swear by Allah with the strongest of their oaths, that if a sign came to them they would most certainly believe in it. Say: Signs are only with Allah; and what should make you know that when it comes they will not believe? 109 And We shall turn aside their hearts and their eyesights, even as they believed not therein for the first time, and We shall let them wander in their exorbitance perplexed. 110

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
