Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Assuredly We sent Nuh unto his people, and he said: O my people! worship Allah; no god ye have but He; verily I fear for you the torment of a mighty day. 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 [Noah] said, "O my people, there is not error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds." 61 "I convey unto you the Messages of my Lord and give sincere advice to you. And I know from Allah what you know not. 62 What, do you wonder that a reminder from your Lord should come to you by the lips of a man from among you? That he may warn you, and you be godfearing, haply to find mercy.' 63 But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. 64
