When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease said: Their religion hath deluded these. Whoso putteth his trust in Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise. 49 AND IF thou couldst but see [how it will be] when He causes those who are bent on denying the truth to die; the angels will strike their faces and their backs, and [will say]: "Taste suffering through fire 50 For what you have brought upon yourselves." God is surely not unjust to His creatures, (they are unjust to themselves). 51 The same thing happened to the people of Pharaoh and those who lived before them. They rejected the revelations of God and, because of their sins, His retribution struck them. God is All-powerful and stern in His retribution. 52 This is because Allah has never changed a favor which He has conferred upon a people until they change their own condition; and because Allah is Hearing, Knowing; 53 (Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers. 54 For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him: They will not believe. 55 AS FOR THOSE with whom thou hast made a covenant, and who thereupon break their covenant on every occasion, not being conscious of God 56 So if you find them in battle, kill them in a manner which makes those behind them scamper back, in the hope that they may learn a lesson. 57 And if you fear treachery on the part of a people, then throw back to them on terms of equality; surely Allah does not love the treacherous. 58
