And certainly We lodged the children of Israel in a goodly abode and We provided them with good things; but they did not disagree until the knowledge had come to them; surely your Lord will judge between them on the resurrection day concerning that in which they disagreed. 93 So if you (O Muhammad SAW) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, [i.e. that your name is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] then ask those who are reading the Book [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before you. Verily, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt (it). 94 And be not thou of those who belie Allah's signs, lest thou be of the losers. 95 Surely those against whom the word of your Lord has proved true will not believe, 96 even though every sign comes to them, until they see the painful punishment. 97 Why did no one except the people of Jonah believe (in their punishment before their death) so that they could have benefitted from their faith? When the people of Jonah believed, We saved them from a disgraceful torment in this life and provided them with the means of enjoyment for an appointed time. 98 And had thy Lord willed, those who are on the earth would have believed, all of them, together; canst thou then compel mankind until they become believers? 99 And it is not for a soul to believe except by Allah's permission; and He casts uncleanness on those who will not understand. 100 Say: 'See what is in the heavens and the earth' But neither signs nor warnings help the unbelievers. 101 Can such, then, expect anything else [to befall them] but the like of the days of [calamity which befell] those [deniers of the truth] who passed away before them? Say: "Wait, then, [for what will happen] verily, I shall wait with you!" 102 Then We shall save Our messengers and those who believe. Thus We have made it incumbent upon Ourself to save the believers. 103
