And We sent Moses with Our signs, and a manifest authority, 96 To Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, but they followed the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the command of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) was no right guide. 97 He will lead his people on the Day of Resurrection, therefore landing them into hell; and what a wretched place to land into! 98 A curse followed them in this world, and shall follow them on the Day of Resurrection. What a foul gift to be given! 99 That is (something) of the tidings of the townships (which were destroyed of old). We relate it unto thee (Muhammad). Some of them are standing and some (already) reaped. 100 We did not wrong them, rather, they wronged themselves. Their gods that they called upon, other than Allah, did not help them when your Lord's command came; they did not increase them except in their destruction. 101 And such is the punishment of your Lord when He punishes the towns while they are unjust; surely His punishment is painful, severe. 102 In that is a sign for him who fears the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which mankind shall be gathered together, a Day when all will be present. 103 We shall not postpone it except until a counted term. 104 On the day when it cometh no soul will speak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad. 105 As for the wretched, they shall be in the Fire, wherein there shall be for them moaning and sighing, therein dwelling forever, 106 therein to abide as long as the heavens and the earth endure - unless thy Sustainer wills it otherwise: for, verily, thy Sustainer is a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 107 ۞ Those who are blessed shall abide in the Garden; they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Such bounty shall be unending. 108 Have no doubt as to what they worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before [them]. We shall certainly give them their share in full, without diminishing anything. 109
