111 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hood (Hood) before The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Alif-Lam-Ra. These are the verses of a Book luminous. 1 We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an, in order that ye may learn wisdom. 2 We will relate to thee the fairest of stories in that We have revealed to thee this Koran, though before it thou wast one of the heedless. 3 When Joseph said, "Father, in my dream I saw eleven stars, the sun and the moon prostrating before me," 4 He said, 'O my son, relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they devise against thee some guile. Surely Satan is to man a manifest enemy. 5 And thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee of the interpretation of discourses, and will fulfil His favour upon thee and upon the house of Y'aqub even as He fulfilled it upon thy fathers, Ibrahim and Is-haq aforetime; verily thy Lord is Knowing, Wise. 6
