The Hijjr Valley (Al-Hijjr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ AlifLaamRa. Those are the verses of the Book, the Clear Koran. 1 Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah's will) in Islam. 2 Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know! 3 Not one habitation have We destroyed but at the time determined for it. 4 No group may advance its appointed promise nor postpone it. 5 And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! thou art indeed a madman! 6 "Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?" 7 We do not send down angels except for a genuine purpose, at which time none will be given any further respite. 8 Verily We! it is We who have revealed the admonition, and verily We are the guardians thereof. 9 Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) amongst the sects (communities) of old. 10 And never does a Noble Messenger come to them, but they mock at him. 11 Even so We make a way for it (that is, the Admonition) in the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod); 12 They will not believe in it, though they have before them the example of former peoples, 13 Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein, 14 they would surely have said, "It is only our eyes that are spellbound! Nay, we have been bewitched! 15
