AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. 19 and provided thereon means of livelihood for you [O men] as well as for all [living beings] whose sustenance does not depend on you. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store. 22 And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). 23 We know those of you who press forward, and We know the laggards, 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
