We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 And We have kept it guarded from every outcast devil. 17 Except one who comes to eavesdrop – therefore a bright flame goes after him. 18 We have spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains. Everything We have caused to grow therein is justly weighed; 19 and there appointed for you livelihood, and for those you provide not for. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And certainly We! We it is Who give life, and cause death, and We are the Inheritors. 23 And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. 24 It is your Lord who will gather them. He is all wise and all knowing. 25
