We created mankind from clay, molded from mud, 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 When it is properly shaped and I have blown My Spirit into it, you should then bow down in prostration". 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated. 31 God asked Iblis, "What made you not join the others in prostration?" 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 (Allah) said: "Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajim (an outcast or a cursed one)." [Tafsir At-Tabari] 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 till the appointed time. 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you, 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
