Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily the God-fearing shall be amidst gardens and springs. 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 They shall face no fatigue in it, nor shall they ever be driven out of it. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 When they entered unto him, and said: Salaman (peace)! [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you." 52 [The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 He said: And who despaireth of the mercy of his Lord save those who are astray? 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
