Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
