So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 The people of the city came to him rejoicing. 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 Certainly the dwellers in the Thicket were evildoers, 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
