Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said: "Surely you are an unknown folk." 62 They said, “In fact we have brought to you the matter which these people doubted.” 63 We have come to you for a genuine purpose and We are true in what we say. 64 Go, then, with thy household while it is yet night, with thyself following them in the rear; and let none of you look back, but proceed whither you are bidden." 65 We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning. 66 And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). 67 Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame, 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said, 'Have we not forbidden thee all beings?' 70 [Lot] said: "[Take instead] these daughters of mine, if you must do [whatever you intend to do]!" 71 By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
