So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 The people of the city came to him rejoicing. 67 Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame, 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 "Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world?" 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 and We turned those [sinful towns] upside down, and rained down upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement pre-ordained. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79
