The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
