Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
