Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
