And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
