In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ GOD'S JUDGMENT is [bound to] come: do not, therefore, call for its speedy advent! Limitless is He in His glory and sublimely exalted above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 1 He sends the angels with revelation by His command, to any of His creatures as He please, (saying): "Warn that there is no god but I, so fear Me." 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 And the cattle -- He created them for you; in them is warmth, and uses various, and of them you eat, 5 and there is beauty in them for you, when you bring them home to rest and when you drive them forth abroad to pasture; 6 And they bear your loads to a city which ye could not reach except with travail of souls; verily your Lord is Kind, Merciful. 7 He created horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride and as a means of beauty. He has also created things that you do not know. 8 God's it is to show the way; and some do swerve from it. If He willed, He would have guided you all together. 9

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
