It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks. 14 God has fixed the mountains on earth lest you should be hurled away when it quakes. Therein He has also made rivers and roads so that you will find your way. 15 And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created. 20 Dead, without life they are, and do not know when they will be raised. 21
