It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude). 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, so that you may eat its fresh seafood and bring forth from it ornaments to wear. You see the ships cleaving through it. All this, so that you may seek His bounty and feel grateful. 14 He set firm mountains upon the earth lest it should shake with you; and rivers, and roads, in order that you are guided. 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind? 17 If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
