Verily Ibrahim was a pattern, devout unto Allah, upright, and, not of the associaters. 120 ever thankful for His favors. He chose him and He guided him to a Straight Path. 121 We granted him virtue in this life and he shall be among the righteous ones in the life to come. 122 Then We revealed Our will to you [O Muhammad], saying, "Follow the religion of Abraham, the upright in faith; he was not one of the polytheists." 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 Call thou to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and good admonition, and dispute with them in the better way. Surely thy Lord knows very well those who have gone astray from His way, and He knows very well those who are guided. 125 If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient. 126 And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots. 127 For surely Allah is with those who hold Him in fear and do good. 128
