Kill not your children for fear of want: We shall provide sustenance for them as well as for you. Verily the killing of them is a great sin. 31 And do not commit adultery - for, behold, it is an abomination and an evil way. 32 (ix) Do not kill any person whom Allah has forbidden to kill, except with right. We have granted the heir of him who has been wrongfully killed the authority to (claim retribution); so let him not exceed in slaying. He shall be helped. 33 And do not touch the substance of an orphan, save to improve it, before he comes of age. And be true to every promise - for, verily, [on Judgment Day] you will be called to account for every promise which you have made! 34 And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result. 35 And pursue not that thou hast no knowledge of; the hearing, the sight, the heart -- all of those shall be questioned of. 36 And do not strut about the land with insolence: Surely you cannot cleave the earth, nor attain the height of mountains in stature. 37 The wickedness of all this is hateful with your Lord. 38 That is part of that wisdom which thy Lord hath revealed unto thee, and set not up thou along with Allah another god, lest thou be cast into Hell, reproved, rejected. 39 What, has your Lord favoured you with sons and taken to Himself from the angels females? Surely it is a monstrous thing you are saying! 40
