And do not kill your children for fear of poverty; We give them sustenance and yourselves (too); surely to kill them is a great wrong. 31 (viii) Do not even approach fornication for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way. 32 And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. 33 And come not near to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength. And fulfil (every) covenant. Verily! the covenant, will be questioned about. 34 And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result. 35 Do not follow what you do not know. The hearing, sight and heart about all these you shall be questioned. 36 And walk not in the earth exultantly; certainly thou wilt never tear the earth open, nor attain the mountains in height. 37 The wickedness of each of that is hateful to your Lord. 38 This is some of the wisdom your Lord has revealed to you. So do not take another god apart from God, or you will be cast into Hell, reproved, ostracised. 39 HAS, THEN, your Sustainer distinguished you by [giving you] sons, and taken unto Himself daughters in the guise of angels? Verily, you are uttering a dreadful saying! 40
