(Consider) when Moses said to his young companion, "I shall continue travelling until I reach the junction of the two seas or have travelled for many years". 60 And when they reached the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the waters, being free. 61 When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey." 62 He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!" 63 Moses said, "That is just what we were looking for." So they went back the way they had come, 64 and found one of Our worshipers to whom We had given from Our Mercy, and to whom We had taught knowledge of Ours. 65 Musa (Moses) said to him (Khidr) "May I follow you so that you teach me something of that knowledge (guidance and true path) which you have been taught (by Allah)?" 66 He answered: "You will surely not be able to bear with me. 67 For how can you patiently bear with something you cannot encompass in your knowledge?" 68 He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter. 69 He said: "Well, if you follow me, do not ask me concerning anything until I myself mention it to you." 70
