Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
