T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
