T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
