T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
