Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
